A HOTEL in South Lakeland has invited a couple who got married there nearly over 40 years ago back to relive the memories of their special day.

Over 200 couples who tied the knot at the Macdonald Hotel Swan Hotel, in Grasmere, took part in a competition to win an overnight stay by sending in their wedding photographs.

Chosen at random, Mary and Peter Dodd were the lucky couple, and were rewarded with a free luxurious overnight stay in the hotel's wedding suite.
