Festive fun and spirit galore is the promise to audiences at a Christmas concert next month.
The junior section of the Workington Amateur Operation Society (WA0S) is presenting the concert which is the first of its type for the group.
WAOS spokesman Tony McGee said the concert will give a group of talented young people the chance to show of their individual and group talents.
"It is a full-length programme. There will be traditional Christmas carols such as Silent Night, pop songs including Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas and some songs from the movies. They will include a couple of songs from Nativity and Somewhere In My Memory, the theme tune of Home Alone.
"Our junior section has around 50 members aged from eight to 18. This is the first event of this kind they have done and it is going to be great. We have a new choreographer, Robyn Miller, who has just joined WAOS."
He said the show has been produced by members of the junior committee with a lot of input from the young people themselves.
The WAOS Junior Christmas Spectacular is on Sunday December 9 and will kick off the festive season, Mr McGee said.
Tickets are available from the Carnegie on Finkle Street or by calling the Box Office on 01900 602122
