Discounted parking has been introduced at Workington's multi-storey car park to help people staying all day on weekdays.
Drivers can now park for a £2.50 flat rate if they arrive between 7am and 9am and leave between 4pm and 7pm.
Allerdale council, which runs the car park, has introduced the deal. It will run every week from Monday to Friday.
The council took over the responsibility for running the car park in August last year.
Previously the site was managed by private firm Parksafe.
The council has also provided free parking during the town's Thursday late-night shopping events on December 6, 13 and 20, allowing shoppers to park without charge between 4pm and 8pm.
Councillor Michael Heaslip, the council's executive member responsible for car parks, said: “The multi-storey car park is a great facility in an ideal location for those who visit and work in the town centre. We want to make it as easy as possible for people to access the town, so this offer is an excellent deal for those who spend a lot of time in Workington."
