IT’S that wonderful time of the year when youngsters dress up as Mary, Joseph and the three wise men.

Hundreds of children from schools across West Cumbria have been dazzling parents and families with their renditions of the traditional nativity play.

We are featuring four schools which submitted their nativity photographs to The Whitehaven News this week.

At Kells Infant School in Whitehaven the early years children performed Away In A Manger and the key stage one pupils The Sleepy Shepherd.

Children from St Bridget’s Primary School in Egremont put on a show-stopping performance while taking part in the nativity, while pupils at Thornhill Primary School performed a spectacular Christmas show.

And Beckermet ‘Primary School performed The Magical Christmas Jigsaw.

Children dressed as stars, sheep, angels and donkeys while they sang their hearts out to their proud parents, siblings and families.
