Workington’s Station Road B put their cup form behind them to stay on top of Window Outlet Cockermouth and District Snooker League division one when they recorded a 4-2 away win over the United Club.

The first four frames were shared as Station B's Simon Frazer and Peter O’Hagan won in frames one and three and United's Clive Lister and Andrew Mitchelhill proving victorious in games two and four.

Station B moved into a 3-2 lead with a win from Mark Tunstall and with a beautifully crafted break of 34 team mate and captain Stephen O'Hagan wrapped up the match win nicely.

Workington Conservative Club closed the gap on division one top team Station B to just three points with a 6-0 home win over Workington Legion.

Richard McCarthy won the first thanks to a contribution of 35.

A victory for Dave Holland followed by another frame winning break of 35, this time from Julian Plaza, took the Cons to 3-0.

Further wins for Alan Moore and Stuart Shepherd took it to 5-0 and Ryan Barker triumphed in the last.

Workington Golf Club strengthened their third place position in division one with a 4-2 home victory over last year's champions Workington Veterans Club.

A frame winning break of 32 by Phil Sorfleet followed by a win from Mark Brasted, ensured the golf club led 2-0.

Victory for Mark Cowen made it 3-0 and as Bryan Walker won the next it was soon 4-0 to the golfers. Craig Davies and Kevin Basnett picked up wins to inject some respectability into the scoreline.

Division two leaders, Station Road A, continued to impress this season with an easy 5-1 home victory over Maryport Social B.

Maryport Social A delivered a convincing performance with a 5-1 home win over division one’s Flimby Social.
