Patches of black ice are possible after temperatures plummeted overnight.

A number of roads in the county are closed due to snow and ice.

The Cold Fell road is closed in both directions, as is Hardknott Pass between the Wrynose Pass and Austhwaite Brow.

The A592 Kirkstone Pass is open, but police are warning of hazardous driving conditions between Townhead Brow and Road End.
