An ice warning is in force across Cumbria this morning, with some roads closed.
Motorists are warned to take extra care due to ice and fog.
Patches of black ice are possible after temperatures plummeted overnight.
The yellow ice warning was issued by the Met Office yesterday.
It runs until 11am this morning, when temperatures are expected to rise.
A number of roads in the county are closed due to snow and ice.
The Cold Fell road is closed in both directions, as is Hardknott Pass between the Wrynose Pass and Austhwaite Brow.
The Birker Fell road is also shut due to ice between Eskdale Green and Ulpha, as is the Corney Fell road.
The A592 Kirkstone Pass is open, but police are warning of hazardous driving conditions between Townhead Brow and Road End.
