Firefighters tackled a car fire at Woodend, near Egremont, in the early hours of Saturday.
The Egremont crew were called to the scene at about 12.45am.
The car was well alight on arrival.
Firefighters wearing breathing equipment used a hose reel jet to bring the fire under control.
They were at the scene for about 40 minutes.
