A huge parade through Carlisle marked the start of Chinese New Year.
It followed a day of performances, music and family workshops in the city centre.
Organised by Tullie House, yesterday's multicultural event attracted hundreds of people.
A bright, vibrant family festival, it aimed to celebrate the start of the Year of the Pig.
Chinese dragons, lion dancers, acrobats and singers has the crowds mesmerised.
Children were able to take part in Chinese dancing, drumming and craft activities.
Performers, organisers and families then joined together for the parade, through the grounds of Carlisle Cathedral, to Tullie House.
Organiser Anna Smalley, from Tullie House, said they were delighted with the turnout.
“It’s been a really good day, especially considering what the weather was like in the morning.
“We’ve had lots of different acts and audience participation. We really wanted families to get involved,” she said.
