For one night only Workington Town Band will perform the full music from the play Brassed Off in a performance at Theatre Royal, Workington on February 22.

People will get the chance to hear the entire music from a collaboration that they did with Workington Playgoers in their December production of Brassed Off.

Snippets of music was enjoyed by the audience throughout the play and Workington Town Band are looking forward to performing the music in its entirety.

The concert will take place at Theatre Royal on February 22 at 7.30pm and will cost £8.

People can pay on the door.

Karen Hailes, from Workington Town Band, said: "The public only heard shortened snippets of our music in the recent stage show Brassed Off. Now we will play the full versions at volume in a one night only concert. There will also be new music that features in the film, but didn't make the final cut."

If anyone would like to get involved with Workington Town Band, they practice every Friday night in the community hall on Bolton Street.

Juniors - with ages eight to 14 start at 6pm, there is a joint session from 7pm to 7.30pm and the senior band rehearse from 7.30pm to 9pm. The band welcomes experienced musicians and newcomers, can loan instruments and provide tuition.
