A COCKERMOUTH choir is hoping to recruit some new singers.
Cockermouth Harmonic Society will be preparing for an informal concert next month and would welcome anyone who would like to join them.
A spokesman said: "We’ll be practising a wide range of repertoire in March: folk songs and choral favourites, including the Hallelujah chorus and Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring. No auditions or experience are necessary.
"All the sessions from March 4 are free for new singers, so come and join us for a bit of March Madness.
"And if you find you want to sing some more, we hope you’ll join the choir for our summer concert."
The concert will take place at 5pm on March 30 at the United Reformed Church, Main Street.
The choir meets at 7.15pm every Monday at the United Reformed Church. For more details ring 07715 104746.
