A lorry has overturned on the A595, between Cockermouth and Carlisle.
It happened at Bothel, at the road's junction with the A591, at 1.10pm.
The road is partially blocked in both directions as a result.
Cumbria Police said the HGV left the A595 and overturned.
It ended up on its side in a field after going through a hedge.
Police and firefighters both attended.
There are reports of heavy traffic in the area.
It is not believed anyone was hurt.
