A COACH driver accused of dangerous driving on the A66 near Keswick is to stand trial later this year.
Darryle Gordon Warren, 52, appeared at Carlisle Crown Court on Wednesday, March 6.
He faces one charge.
This alleges that he drove dangerously in a Vanhool coach on October 7, 2017.
The charge arises out of an incident which is said to have taken place at the Crosthwaite roundabout, near Keswick, at around 11-11.30pm, while Warren was carrying passengers westbound.
During a short hearing in front of Judge Peter Davies, Warren pleaded not guilty to the charge.
A trial in front of a jury at the crown court is expected to start on May 15 and - it is estimated - will last three to four days.
In the meantime Warren, whose address was given as Scotland Road, Carnforth, was granted bail by Judge Davies.
