A THORNHILL man was handed a fine and a 12-month ban after he admitted drink-driving.
Daniel Henry Waugh, 32, of Wodow Road, was found with 53mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath when he was driving along Thorntrees Drive in Thornhill, on February 24.
The drink-drive limit is 35.
When he appeared at the magistrates court on Friday, he was handed the ban as well as a £340 fine.
His ban could be reduced by 13 weeks if he successfully completes a drink-driving rehabilitation course.
Waugh was also ordered to pay £34 to fund victim services and £85 costs.
