A Keswick coffee shop has been sold.

Pillar House, on Main Street, has been bought by Fellpack, which operates a venue on nearby Lake Road.

Christie & Co handled the sale of the two-storey coffee shop to Fellpack, which is run by Chris Gill, John Butterworth, James Appleton, Ellie Sanchez and Paul Sanchez.

Fellpack, a restaurant and coffee shop, has garnered rave reviews since it opened in 2017.

Fellpack plans to operate the former Pillar House premises as its second, larger site within the town, introducing evening meals and alcoholic beverages alongside the daytime food menu.

Chris, one of the founding members of Fellpack, said: “Ashley Cobban at Christie & Co helped make the difficult process of buying a business as smooth as possible.

"There were plenty of challenges in getting the deal done and Ashley was always on hand to offer a patient ear and constructive suggestions, making sure we never lost sight of the overall commercial objectives that both we and the seller had originally agreed to. This was no small feat, given the circumstances, and we’re immensely grateful for the assistance.”

Ashley added: “Though this property generated interest from further afield, it’s great to see ownership transfer to a local operator. We’re witnessing increasing demand for coffee shops throughout the North West, as consumers seek out experiences that can’t be provided by high street brands.”
