A DRINK-driver who failed to stop after an accident was banned from driving.

Dean Scott, 32, pleaded guilty to the offences which took place on December 16 on Mason Street, Workington.

Scott, of Newlands Gardens, Workington, was found with 63mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35.

When he appeared at the magistrates' court in Workington on Friday he admitted causing damage to another vehicle following the accident.

He was banned for three months, however his ban could be reduced by 36 weeks if he completes a drink-driver rehabilitation course.

Scott was also ordered to carry out 50 hours of unpaid work, to pay £85 costs and £85 to fund victim services.
