A Workington man who stole almost £50-worth of alcohol has been banned from the town's shops.
Declan Hugh Patrick Tyson, 28, of Fountains Avenue, admitted stealing from the town's Home Bargains in January and Morrisons in March.
When he appeared at the magistrates' court in Workington on Friday, he was ordered to carry out 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days and was banned from shops part of the Workington Shop Watch Scheme for two years.
He was ordered to pay £40 compensation to Morrisons and £9.98 to Home Bargains.
Tyson must also pay £85 costs and £85 victim surcharge.
