TWO pupils from St Mark's Primary School in Natland held a cake sale and raised £50 for The Rainbow Trust.
Seven-year-olds Evie Capstick, of Birk Hagg Barns, and Eva Roe, Beech Nut Roe, held the sale at their homes in Kendal - Evie in the morning and Eva in the afternoon. They were helped by Evie's two-year-old sister, Edie Roe.
"They chose the Rainbow Trust for no particular reason," said Helen Capstick, Evie's mum. "They just decided they wanted to raise money for a children’s charity."
The Rainbow Trust provides emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness. They have care workers based in Cumbria.
