MONEY challenges across the generations are to be explored by the Financial Conduct Authority.
The regulator says a few decades ago people could get their first mortgage in their mid-20s and pay it off before retirement.
However, millennials born between 1981 and 2000 now take out a mortgage more than five years later in life and may still be repaying it after they retire.
