Firefighters are preparing to take part in a national fundraiser to bring the team and their community together.
The crew from Silloth fire station will be raising money for The Fire Fighters Charity by washing cars between 12pm and 4pm on Monday.
Bobby Benson, crew manager for Silloth, said: “I’m really looking forward to the car wash.
“Not only will it be great for community interaction, but it also brings a level of job satisfaction and pride to the station, as well knowing a little event like this that we have organised can make such a big difference in the long run.
“We are hopeful there will be a fantastic turnout from members of our local and wider community coming with their cars for a good wash and to make us work hard, all for a great cause.”
It is taking place at Silloth Heritage Centre car park with no set price, just a donation.
