Three men have been warned by a judge they could receive jail terms for committing class A drugs supply crimes.

Tommy Lee Whitehead, 20, Jack Rumney, 21, and 20-year-old James Malcolm Murray appeared together at Carlisle Crown Court today.

All three admitted being concerned in supplying cocaine between July 1 and September 6 last year.

Whitehead and Rumney admitted conspiracy to supply cocaine, between August 27 and September 6. Whitehead and Murray each pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of a quantity of class A ecstasy between July and early September.

In addition, Whitehead admitted being concerned in supplying the class B drug, ketamine.

Judge Peter Davies adjourned the case, and directed that pre-sentence reports should be prepared on the defendants by the probation service.

Whitehead, of St Paul's Avenue, Seaton; Rumney, of Corporation Road, Workington; and Murray, of Primrose Terrace, Harrington, Workington, were all granted bail, and a provisional sentencing date of June 7 was identified.

"You have been dealing in class A drugs," Judge Davies told the trio, "therefore the sentence you are most likely to receive is a custodial sentence, do you understand the three of you?"
