Barrow musician John Rennie, who lives in Tokyo, is set to release his debut album.
Mr Rennie forms one half of an electro pop duo called The Defector Frequency.
The duo’s album, Love With Machines, comes out on June 2. Having first appeared as a five piece in South Korea during the late naughties, the group has returned as a duo following a hiatus and are now set to release their first album.
Mr Rennie said: "I still have a strong connection with my home town and a real sense of pride in where I grew up."
He also spends several months a year back in the Barrow and Cumbria area
