A woman is set to be sentenced by a crown court judge after threatening a man with a knife, assaulting him and destroying his car tyre

Kirsty Maria Graham, 32, of Potts Terrace, Great Broughton, appeared at West Cumbria Magistrates' Court in Workington to face a series of charges.

The court heard that, on May 1 in Potts Terrace, had produced a kitchen knife and used it to threaten her victim in such a way that there was an immediate risk of serious physical harm to him.

On the same date, District Judge Gerald Chalk was told, Graham assaulted her victim by beating him, and destroyed one of his car tyres, which was valued at £65.

Graham admitted the offences.

Her case was sent to Carlisle Crown Court, where she is expected to be sentenced on June 14.

In the interim she was granted bail with the condition that she must not contact her victim.
