THE legacy of a former RAF officer who died in a crash on the A590 is living on at a primary school.
Allithwaite CE Primary School received £3,000 from Neil Jurd and Claire Hensman, The Lord Lieutenant of Cumbria, from the Michelle Jurd Memorial Trust.
The school will fund a wealth of extra-curricular activities over the forthcoming year.
Mr Jurd and the Lord Lieutenant enjoyed experiencing the impact of their past donations, during a morning spent with the children. Den-building, fire lighting and team games were a few of the things happening in the early year’s class. All were made possible by resources funded through the charity.
