NOEL Coward's Hay Fever is Grange Drama's summer special.

Running at the Victoria Hall from June 12-15, the play is regarded as one of the playwright's most durable comedies, and since its debut in 1925 has enjoyed plenty of star-studded outings with the central role of retired actress Judith Bliss, and her novelist husband David, attracting some of the top names in the theatre.

The story revolves around the eccentric Bliss family, who, unknown to each other, invite friends down to their English country house for the weekend. The outlandish and self-centred behaviour of the family drives their guests to flee as they engage in a family row, not even noticing the furtive departures. All in all, the 'quiet weekend' comes to an exhausting and hilarious finale. Sheelagh O’Brien and Jim Robson take the respective roles of Judith and David Bliss. Box office on 015395-34026.
