A Carlisle woman who denied a racially aggravated assault is due to go on trial.
Michelle Currie, of Springfield Road, appeared before magistrates on Tuesday.
The 51-year-old denied a single charge which alleges that, on December 14 last year, she assaulted Mohammad Saleem by beating him and that "the offence was racially aggravated."
She is due to stand trial at North and West Cumbria Magistrates' Court in Carlisle on July 25.
