HOMES with an LA9 postcode took an average 16 weeks to sell in the past year, according to research by an online house sales company.
LA9 includes central Kendal, Burneside, Natland and Oxenholme.
Dwellings in LA8 - which covers Brigsteer, Grayrigg, Levens, outer Kendal, Sedgwick and Sizergh - took five weeks longer on average, said Property Solvers.
The company analysed 117 house sales across the two postcode areas, measuring how many weeks it took from homes being listed on property portal Rightmove to being marked as officially sold at the HM Land Registry.
