A pair of Workington siblings have raised nearly £300 for a local charity by tackling a popular running challenge.
Bella, eight, and Marty Gambles, three, of High Grove, completed the Mini Great Manchester Run for Hospice at Home West Cumbria on Sunday.
The youngsters tackled the 1.5k route through Manchester city centre with their parents after mum Nicola Cairns had volunteered for the local charity.
She said the amount raised had surpassed their expectations.
"Bella took off like a rocket and, considering he's just turned three, Marty never stopped and ran the whole way round," Nicola said.
"Because they had their names on their tops they had people shouting their names, which they loved.
"They absolutely loved it and both finished to get their medals.
"Money has been flying in and it's going to be around the £300 mark I think."
