Thousands of people are set to descend on High Wycombe town centre this bank holiday weekend as FrogFest – the town’s biggest music festival – returns to celebrate its sixth year.

The free family-friendly event – which takes place on Sunday, May 26 – will offer festival-goers the chance to enjoy musical talent from across two stages, delicious food stalls, circus-style street entertainment and fire show, mini golf and an array of creative children’s workshops.

This year’s event includes musical performances from popular Bucks artists like MIB, Steph Willis, George Jack, Dolly and the Dinosaur, My Mate Dave, XCS, Casual Madness and The Sobernauts – alongside acts such as Tiny Tina Turner, a Tina Turner tribute act, husband and wife duo, Sloth in the City and Rockabilly headliners, Hawkmen.

Revellers will also be treated to more live music from The Antelope pub garden.

Event-goers are set to enjoy a variety of sweet treats from the likes of Floss and Waffle, Buckleberry Crepes and Lola Vintage Ice Cream, whilst those looking for a more savory selection can opt for Caribbean fusion street food from newcomer Funky Elephant or Lebanese dishes from popular local food vendor, Ozi Lala. FrogFest will also welcome back firm festival favourites, Began’s (vegan food), Tipsy Flamingo (cocktails and mocktails), Mad Squirrel (craft beer) and Yourz To Eat (traditional hog roast).

For youngsters, there will also be mini golf, bandana making, face painting, circus skills workshop and an interactive art zone with talented Wycombe artist Dan Wilson, who is famous for the Brunel Railway Shed mural.

FrogFest is part of calendar of events run by High Wycombe BID company (HWBIDCo), an organisation working on behalf of businesses to celebrate the town.

Since its inception in 2013, the popular one-day festival has gone from strength-to-strength and continues to draw thousands of people from across Bucks into High Wycombe town centre.

Discussing the excitement surrounding this Sunday’s event, BID manager Melanie Williams said: “We are thrilled to welcome residents and visitors into the town centre, it’s a day when we join together to celebrate High Wycombe’s excellent music scene and shops, stalls and eateries, some here permanently and some providing a unique offer just for Frogfest.

“Don’t forget to make the most of the free parking in WDC carparks.”

The festivities kick off at 11am in the High Street.
