Police incident disrupts Big Weekend traffic in Middlesbrough
A POLICE incident closed the A174 in both directions last night.
The road was closed between the A1032 and A171, and StewartPark could not be accessed from Stokesley Road.
The westbound carriageway reopened just after 11pm, and the eastbound section about 45 minutes later.
Police warned people in the area to leave extra time for their journeys, but there were reports that some shuttle buses from the nearby Big Weekend were stuck in the traffic.
