A MAN has been fined for sending threatening messages to his ex-partner.
Christopher McMenamin, of Turnberry Crescent, Annan, sent the messages between April 12 and 14, and it was said in court to now accepted that he should not have behaved in this way.
The 29-year-old admitted the charge at Dumfries Sheriff Court.
The incidents are said to have arisen following a breakdown in a ten-year relationship.
The woman was said to be in a state of distress when she received social media messages from her ex-partner wanting to know who she was with and adding derogatory remarks.
They had separated in January, the court was told.
The messages had been sent via Whatsapp mobile application.
McMenamin ordered by the courts to pay a fine of £333.
