A main Cumbrian road has reopened after a serious crash involving a car and a motorbike.
Emergency services were called to the scene - which is on the A591 close to Bassenthwaite - this morning.
A Cumbria Police spokesman confirmed that the force was called just after 11am to the incident.
Police were advising motorists to avoid the area and use an alternative route.
Cumbria Highways has confirmed that the road has now been reopened.
