A lifeboat was deployed after a boat ran aground on the shore near Maryport.
The Maryport Inshore Rescue Team were called out by Belfast Coastguard at 7.15pm on Saturday.
The stranded vessel was starting to float, but the crew launched from the shoreline in case the situation deteriorated.
Maryport Coastguard Rescue Team were ready in water rescue kit to assist from the shore if required.
As the vessel come afloat, they were able to successfully manoeuvre into deeper water unassisted, and were then escorted into Maryport Marina.
