A PROFESSIONAL wrestler from Barrow has apologised after performing an “inappropriate” act at a nine-year-old’s birthday party.

Edward Dockery, who goes by the ring name Tu Byt for party entertainment firm Knockout Wrestling, has been reprimanded by his boss after performing at a Walney child’s party on Saturday.

The birthday boy, a big fan of wrestling, had asked his parents to book Knockout Wrestling to entertain his pals during his party at Walney Community Centre.

During the performance, which was filmed by other parents, Tu Byt is seen offering an item to one child before shoving it down his tight wrestling trunks and then tossing it to the shocked youngster.

The boy immediately throws the item to the floor as parents in the audience are seen looking gobsmacked.

One dad who was at the party at the Central Drive centre said he was horrified at the “inappropriate” behaviour.

“It was totally shocking and completely inappropriate,” he said.

“All the kids have been talking about it in the playground.”

Knockout Wrestling boss Andrew Pratt said he was only made aware of the incident on Monday.

“A couple of mums have been in touch via our Facebook page to voice their concerns about what happened and I’ve since spoken to them directly,” he said.

“I spoke to the wrestler after being made aware about it and he was very apologetic and has said sorry.

“It’s a show and he’s just gone a bit too far and it’s a case of poor judgement.

“We’ve been doing this for nearly seven years now and we’ve never had anything like this happen before.

“He was going out for a gross out thing but he went too far and it's not something we would want to happen.

“I’ve apologised to the parents who contacted me to complain and I’ve apologised to the parents of the boy whose birthday it was.”
