A horse rider has been airlifted to hospital after a serious fall.
It happened just north of Penrith, in the Greengill area, just before 12pm.
The Great North Air Ambulance (GNAAS) and North West Ambulance Service rushed to the scene.
The rider had fallen from the horse and sustained injuries.
A GNAAS spokesman said the patient was treated at the scene.
"We received the call at 11.50am, were mobilised by 11.55am and on scene at 12pm," he said.
"We had a doctor and paramedic on board. They accompanied the patient to hospital by road.
"Our team returned to base at 1.20pm."
