CARLISLE Foodbank is appealing for donations after running low on a number of key items.
Long life milk is a particular priority as stocks are completely out.
Volunteers have been using social media to appeal for help.
A post read: “Carlisle Foodbank is extremely short of long life milk. We are having to buy it to cover demand.
“Please help,” they pleaded.
Other items that are low in stock include tinned tuna, tinned fruit, tinned potatoes, packet mashed potato, bottled squashes and tinned rice pudding.
It is also running very low on toiletries, especially male toiletries such as deodorants, shaving foam and razors. These essential items are also given out to those in need.
The foodbank is based at The Courts in the city but has collection points across the area.
