Workington Magistrates Court West Cumbria
A Maryport man has admitted assaulting a woman.
West Cumbria Magistrates' Court heard that Scott Creighton, 29, of Well Lane in the town, committed assault by beating on June 9 while in Maryport.
He pleaded guilty to the charge when he appeared at court on Friday.
Creighton was given a community order and must carry out 200 hours of unpaid work.
He was also ordered to pay £85 Crown Prosecution Service costs and a £115 surcharge to fund victim services.
