You, the readers, have taken to the Times & Star website to vent their frustration over the Allerdale bins fiasco.

Here are some of the comments you've been making:

Leedsrhino said: "To discover this so close to the next garden waste collection - when I have three bins already full - is not helpful. I can't be expected to empty all of these out and take them to my nearest garden waste collection point."

"Will households be seeing a corresponding reduction in council tax, to reflect this reduction in services? Are FCC going to see a reduction in their income if they're not providing these services?"

Alan Martin said: "They're not collecting anymore types of waste, they've just changed the collection day! If it ain't broke, don't tamper with it. Are all residents affected going to receive a refund on their council tax."

Toby' owner said: "How do we get already full bin to a recycling depot?"

Johnny Bingo said: "Brace yourselves for more fine messes with this clowncil."

Workington lad said: "Shambolic new clowncil. # bin chaos # out of their depth"

Jono L said: "Can those who use there own transport to take their recycling claim the fuel costs back from Allerdale? (I doubt it but hey send them invoices anyway)"

Robert Raynerd said: "Can you imagine how long a private company would survive if they were as competent as Allerdale council."
