Carbon monoxide fears sparked an early morning emergency callout.
Carlisle East fire station received the 999 call to a home in Upperby, Carlisle, at about 2am today, after the carbon monoxide detector had gone off.
A member of the crew said that the family evacuated the property while firefighters thoroughly checked and tested the home.
"While we found no evidence of carbon monoxide," he continued, "the property owner did exactly the right thing in the circumstances."
