A man was taken to hospital after a crash on the A66.
Emergency services were called to the Matterdale Road end of the trunk road, near Penruddock, at about 6.35pm yesterday.
Two cars - a Seat and an Audi - were involved in the collision.
A man from the Seat was taken by ambulance to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle with injuries described as "non life-threatening".
The road was temporarily closed to allow police and paramedics to deal with the crash, but was reopened by 7.15pm.
