Experience all that Cumbrian history has to offer, thanks to a new partnership between local attractions.

Four of Carlisle’s popular days out are teaming up to offer a discount for people visiting more than one attraction in a week.

Once a full price ticket has been bought for either Tullie House, English Heritage (Birdoswald and Carlisle Castle), or Cumbria’s Museum of Military Life, tickets for the other three venues will be discounted by 20 per cent.

Caitlin Olney, marketing manager at Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery, said: “This is exactly the co-operation we need.

“There is a strong cross-over between our venues, and we know visitors from Hadrian’s Wall will be fascinated to see how Tullie House contributes to stories behind the UNESCO World Heritage site.

“Our Roman Frontier Gallery is outstanding, popular and this new partnership should share this message out to tourists whilst rewarding local loyalty.”

The offer is also open to Tullie House members and annual ticket holders.

Stuart Eastwood, curator of Cumbria’s Museum of Military Life, added: “We welcome this opportunity to enhance our long-established relationship with both English Heritage and Tullie House, to attract more visitors to Carlisle and the surrounding area to engage with the wealth of history that our organisations care for.”
