Festival-goers partied through the night at the successful launch of the Wild on the Wall festival.

With headline acts including local favourites Hardwicke Circus, The Postcard Band, and Sultans of the Source - as well as incredibly passionate organisers - it was always going to be a fantastic night for all.

Jenny Sadeh, one of the organisers, said: “It was beyond expectations; we never in a million years thought it would be like this.

“It was a great vibe, that’s what everyone kept saying.

“Everytime I looked around, everyone was smiling whether it was children or adults.”

What made Wild on the Wall stand out above other festivals, is that the party didn’t stop once the bands were off the stage.

A campfire was set up where everyone sat around and chilled out until the early hours of Sunday morning.

Jenny continued: “Everyone was playing the guitar and singing, which is what I imagined.”

There was a separate campfire set up for children, where they could toast giant marshmallows on skewers.

The not-for-profit festival donated money to two local charities: Musicians Against Homeless; and Annie Mawson’s Sunbeams Music Trust.

The question on everyone’s lips is whether or not the festival will be back for a second year.

“We enjoyed it, it was just so fabulous,” Jenny said.

“So the answer is yes, we will be doing another one.”

And, following high demand from festival goers this year, it has already been decided that the second Wild on the Wall festival will be set over two nights rather than just one.
