PICNIC Cinema events which had to be cancelled at Muncaster Castle at the weekend could still go ahead this summer.
The castle was due to host the events to give revellers the chance to watch popular films in the venue’s grounds but, with the weather forecast predicting the stormy weather that battered the county, they were called off due to safety concerns.
A statement posted on the castle’s Facebook page confirmed organiser Eden Arts is looking into the possibility of rearranging the events and holding them later this summer.
The post said: “Eden Arts are currently looking at alternative arrangements for the events.
“We hope that you can be patient while we explore ways to ensure that the events go ahead this summer.
“Ticket-holders will be contacted directly by email regarding refunds and/or when alternative arrangements are known.
“Please await further information over the coming days and we thank you for your patience and understanding.”
