Volunteers are sought after to campaign for people in the community who are affected by Parkinson’s disease.
Parkinson’s UK is launching a new campaign to ensure people in hospitals and care homes get their medication on time.
Campaign volunteers will be taught how to engage with MPs and hospitals on the issue.
Alison Lofas, Parkinson’s UK local campaigns officer for the north, said: “We are thrilled to be able to offer free training, specifically around campaigning, to our volunteers who are at the core of everything we do to improve the lives of people affected by Parkinson’s.
“As a campaigning volunteer there are so many ways you can get involved and help us create a louder voice and drive change.”
A training day will be held on September 4 at the Hallmark Hotel.
