THE Environment Agency has confirmed that a flood warning remains in place at Keswick Camp site.
On its website today, the Agency said that yesterday's heavy rainfall meant that a warning - which indicates that flooding is expected in the area affected - would be kept in place.
Isolated showers are forecast for today, followed by heavier, more thundery showers tomorrow.
"We do not expect the lake level [in Derwentwater]to rise any further as rainfall totals will be low," said the Agency.
Experts say the lake level is likely to fall steadily throughout the weekend, dropping below the Flood Warning trigger by Sunday morning. The Agency will continue to monitor the situation and publish updates on its website.
Meanwhile, flood warnings - meaning that flooding is possible - are in force for the Upper River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck in Borrowdale and Derwentwater remain in force
A warning is also in place for the Rivers Brthay, Rothay, and Winster.
