CELEBRITY chef Jay Rayner will be making an appearance at the first ever Rheged Food & Drink Show next month.
The author and food critic is performing his new show, based on his latest book My Last Supper, where he investigates why last suppers are so fascinating, on September 14.
It tells the stories of the dishes that would end up on his final table.
The show, organised with Cumbria Life, aims to celebrate the finest producers in Cumbria and the North – promoting themes of local, sustainable, high quality, innovative and authentic food and drinks.
In the main event halls, visitors will be able to taste and shop products from hand picked suppliers, all showcasing local food and drinks.
There will also be a dedicated drinks hall.
