A WEST Cumbrian man has been banned for over a year after he admitted drink-driving.
Gary Shackley, of Main Street, St Bees, appeared at the magistrates court in Workington and admitted driving a black Range Rover when he had 50mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg.
The incident happened on July 29 on Main Road, St Bees.
He was handed a 14 months ban, but if he successfully completes a drink-driver rehabilitation course it could be reduced by 14 weeks.
Shackley was fined £180 and must pay £85 costs and £32 victim surcharge.
