A flood alert has been issued by the Environment Agency for the Upper River Derwent area.
The alert states: "Following showers throughout Tuesday, lake levels have risen at the Lodore gauge. Low lying land and roads in the Seatoller, Stonethwaite, Rosthwaite, Grange in Borrowdale and Derwentwater shoreline areas.
"High river and lake levels are possible on the River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck, Watendlath Beck, Derwentwater and their tributaries. We will continue to monitor the situation and update this message when necessary."
