BEETHAM Parish Council heard a defibrillator is now 'live' in the village's Stanley Street phone box.
Cumbria county councillor Pete McSweeney said "major remedial work" was to due to start soon on the A6 Bridge at Beetham, and Cllr David Clark noted some potholes had been repaired in the parish.
Meanwhile, a convex mirror is to be installed at the B5282/Storth road junction, and the loaned speed indicator sign is to be resited from Whassett to Carr Bank.
