Friends of Seaton Academy put their best foot forward and did a sponsored walk on Saturday to raise money for a trip for all pupils of the academy to see Beauty and The Beast.
Over £400 was raised for a visit to the Christmas panto at the Carnegie Theatre and all the children that took part in the event also received a certificate and sticker.
Forty-six children, aged three to ten, and their families, turned out for the walk. They started on the track near to the Kowloon takeaway, walking for 40 minutes towards Camerton before returning back to the starting point.
Children and their families enjoyed a picnic at the Hunter’s Drive park after the event.
Friends of Seaton Academy committee member Dawn Jenkinson said: “The weather was beautiful, the sun was shining and the kids enjoyed it. It was really nice for parents to mix together too.”
