An air ambulance and multiple ambulances are responding to an incident in Flimby.
A Great North Air Ambulance has landed in a field opposite the graveyard at St Nicholas Church.
A spokesman for the service confirmed that they are currently on scene, but was unable to provide any further details at this stage.
It is believed that the air ambulance took off without a patient onboard.
Cumbria Police say their assistance has not been requested.
